Minimum wages increased to Rs 8,000

The Sindh Minimum Wages Board (SMWB) has proposed to increase minimum rates of wages from Rs 7000 per month to Rs 8,000 per month with effect from 01-07-2012 in respect of adult unskilled and juvenile workers in industrial, commercial undertakings in the province of Sindh.
A statement on Monday said that this had already been notified in the Extraordinary Gazette of Sindh Government dated 19th July 2012.
β€œIt is, therefore, advised that the objections/suggestions, if any, may be sent to Secretary Minimum Wages Board, Government of Sindh, First Floor, Sindh Secretariat No.3, latest by 18.08.2012,” the statement added.
