The government on the advice of OGRA has approved an increase in the price of petroleum products which will go into effect from midnight.
The price of petrol will increase by Rs 7.66 per litre, diesel will increase by Rs 4.58, HOBC will increase by Rs7.64 and Kerosene oil will increase by Rs4.64 per litre.
Meanwhile, Petrol pumps across the country suspended sale of petrol in the wake of rising petrol prices adding to the difficulties faced by common citizens.
People criticised the petrol stations owners for not reducing the price when prices goes down and shutting the sales when they are raised.
They asked the government to take stern action against such petrol pumps owners.
