The five law officers, appointed by former minister for law and justice Babar Awan have been removed from service. A formal notification about the sacking of the five law officers was issued here on Monday. Those sacked were Mushtaq Awan, Ashraf Khan, Ilyas Khan, Ziaul Qamar Bhatti and Shaista Qaiser. Only three deputy attorney generals are now left in Lahore to handle the cases of the federal government in the superior judiciary. Sources said the sacked law officers from Punjab belonged to Babar Awan group. They said the officers appointed by Babar Awan in the other provinces would also be removed from service.
