Pakistan Today

A sun has arisen

Pakistan is as dear to us as our souls but still we are far away to get composed and do something for it. The situation is alike as a pigeon closes its eyes and ponders he is concealed from the danger. Penalties become pathetic when we consider this worst as our fate, but God has created the system of His world with such a precession that needy always gets help from a veiled source.
My previous letter “Serving an orange with a lot of apples” brought me a surprise when I heard about a welfare organisation working to bring special children out of their miserable conditions through education at village level. Rising Sun Education & Welfare Society has been providing rehabilitation facilities to such needy and deserving special children who can’t afford any type of treatment for their selves because, either they live far away from such a facility or they can’t afford it.
It has started a programme to train formal school teachers for Inclusive Education Programme. They provide them with the latest information about child assessment techniques, equipment usage and handling and Individualised Education Plan (IEP) development for each child in a five days training programme at their DHA Lahore campus. They have trained more than 1100 teachers from different private school chains under this program and they are sure that these trained teachers will help more than 90 thousand special children to get educational aid.
This programme will not only benefit the children but also the teachers to get new skills and it will share the burden of government in this regard. This way of teaching special children in their own environment, locality and own people will help them come out of the deep darkness and will give them a better chance to live like a valuable citizen of the nation. I hope this programme will be a great success and this candle will light millions of these needy lanterns and the lives of their parents will become happier than ever before.
