To mark their protest against load shedding, at least 16 PML-Q ministers submitted their resignations to party President Shujaat Hussain on Monday. According to a private TV channel, in their resignations the ministers had stated that it was not possible for them to face their voters because of the prolonged load shedding, even during the month of Ramadan. The ministers presented their resignations to the party president during a meeting at Lahore State Guest House. They said there was no development work being done in their constituencies, adding that the even the under-construction uplift projects had also been stopped due to the unavailability of required funds.
