Due to the repeated changes and delayed assignment of development scheme, the City District Government has suffered funds lapse to the tone of Rs110.15 million during financial year 2011-12.
However, the report of the lapse has been forwarded to Finance and Planning executive district officer, Local Government and Finance secretary as well.
Under Punjab Development Programme, development schemes worth Rs 150.69 million were given in the year 2011-12 whereas Rs 25.5 million funds were lapsed.
In education sector total fund of Rs 530.58 million around Rs 60.75 million were lapsed and likewise Rs 20 million were lapsed in Rs 140.92 million fund of road sector.
