Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Qamar Zaman Kaira on Sunday said that current electricity crisis was due to some technical faults and windstorm in Muzaffargarh which would be resolved within next 2-3 days.
Talking to Pakistan Television (PTV), he said some major problems had occurred simultaneously due to windstorm in Muzaffargarh, adding that five electric polls of main 500kv heavy transmission line were damaged and power got suspended from system causing the current crisis.
He said that technical teams had reached on the spot and 300MW electricity suspended from Muzaffargarh would be added to the system on Sunday night while 350 MW would be restored till Monday with the functioning of Lal Pir power plant.
However, it would take 2-3 days to restore 350 MW more from Park Jin power plant which would help to overcome the current problem of energy, Kaira added. He said further 350 MW would be added soon to the system with repairing of a part of Chashma Nuclear power plant. Guddu power plant would also start functioning soon and the present crisis would be resolved by improving the current shortage of almost 2000 MW. He said that unscheduled load shedding would end after the addition of 2000 MW into the system. The information minister said that the government was also providing oil supply to all power plants.
Sand storm huh lmfao,You are so full of it.Atleast all of you idiots decide what the cause is before you all decide to give out your own personal opinions. Its called being on the same page. One person should make statements about their ministry or department or what have you.Every lullu punju gets up in the morning and decides to feed information in their own way and according their own resources, which in turn makes you all look like the backside of a jackass.
Mr. Kaira! Remember the first thing to do on waking up in the morning is to recite Kalima e Shahadat. Then stretch your body so that circulation speeds up your body reflexes. This will enable you to think first and speak later. Salams
Energy policy are formulated 15 yrs in advance and if this is not done, we will have what we have now. Nawaz Sharif made a colossal mistake in 1997 by cancelling BB initiated power projects worth 5000MW and he also cancelled 5000MW TharCoalPower project in 1997 and declared that Pakistan does not need these projects because there is enough electricity(because during BB's second tenure she had set up 20 power plants) and these projects are not needed. Time has proved NawazSharif was totally wrong and BB forecast was correct.
So you are one of the a.s.s.h.o.l.e.s. who voted for Zardari, don't worry, you are not even close to being a smart guy,you keep repeating your message which you obviously read somewhere and copied.I can tell by your crappy english standard. And stop cussing people on this website you loser. You must be one of the Zardari's weekend oops.

Is this man that 'ugly'? His utterances certainly are!
I wish I had a minute of electricity for every time I have heard some politician make such a tall claim about the power situation. If I did, my lights would be on 24/7 365 days a year for decades.
