Next election to be held on time: Rafiq Engineer

Sindh Minister for Archives Muhammad Rafiq Engineer said on Sunday that the PPP-led government was making an all out effort for welfare of the masses and for the prosperity and development of the country.
Talking to different delegations at his residence, the Sindh minister said the next general election would be held on time.
He said exemplary development projects had been executed in Lyari by the present government.
“Schools, colleges and universities have been established in Lyari for promotion of education while hospitals are equipped with more facilities to provide better medical treatment to the people of Lyari,” he added.
Overall situation water supply is better: KWSB: The overall situation pertaining to provision of water in the metropolis is satisfactory.
This was said by Karachi Water and Sewerage Board (KWSB) Managing Director Misbahuddin Farid on Sunday.
He further informed that preparations have been completed for launching a drive against illegal hydrants in the city. The KWSB chief stated that a strategy has been devised in this very respect.
He said that by removing the illegal hydrant the water supply to the people would be improved. Farid pointed out that at the moment there are 30 illegal hydrants in the metropolis. He said that he has suggested that water theft be declared as a non-bailable offence. The KWSB chief hoped that necessary legislation would be undertaken in this regards.
PPP comes into power through votes: Sharjeel: Sindh Minister for Information Sharjeel Inam Memon on Sunday said that they have come into government with the power of the votes of the people.
The Provincial Information Minister said in a statement issued here on Sunday.
He said conspiracies are being hatched against the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), but his party can not be erased from the hearts of the people.
Sharjeel Memon said that every “Jiyala” activist of the Peoples Party knows to defend the party leadership.
