A local court on Monday acquitted four accused in passport scandal case.
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) produced four accused, two each from the passport and visa offices, and told the court that they had not found any evidence against them.
The FIA picked the accused four days ago as part of investigation into Olympic visa scandal. The FIA prosecutors submitted the report to the court and told the judge they have no objection over release of the accused as no evidence against them was found during the course of interrogation. Now, the FIA has no suspect linked to passport scandal in its custody. The accused were Asif, Wasif, Ghafar and Faheem.
The court acquitted the accused and adjourned the hearing.
