ANF foils heroin smuggling bid to Dubai

The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) arrested a Nigerian national from Benazir Bhutto International Airport who was smuggling about a 100 heroin-filled capsules to Dubai on Monday.
According to ANF officials, the Nigerian entered the terminal to leave for Abu Dhabi. Noticing his suspicious behavior, the officials passed him through special scanners and found him carrying heroin in his abdomen.
Later when interrogated, he confessed having hundred capsules of heroin in his stomach. He was then shifted to Benazir Bhutto Hospital to take the capsules out.
Over the past couple of weeks a number of passengers were arrested at the airport trying to smuggle out heroin and other drugs. The ANF has formed teams to arrest the other cohorts in the smuggling ring.
