Violence gulps 6 more

Uncontrolled violence prevails in the financial hub of the country as at least six more people were killed in firing incidents in different parts of Karachi, officials said on Saturday. A police official was among six killed in overnight firing incidents in different localities of Karachi while two people were injured in a cracker attack, police said.
According to the police, three people were shot dead in firing incidents in Super Way Toll Plaza, Razzaqabad and Manghopir localities.
Two bodies, including a eunuch, were found in Purana Golimar and Qayyumabad areas while police arrested two target killers involved in murdering 18 people from Mominabad and also recovered arms from their possession.
In Manghopir area, an activist of banned Tehrik-e-Taliban, Khitab Mehsud, was killed during an encounter with police while a cop was also martyred.
Meanwhile, a protest was staged against police operation in Bara Board area of Pak Colony and the protesters torched three vehicles. The angry protesters also attacked Site Police Station.
Meanwhile, two people were injured in a cracker attack in the parking of a departmental store near Nipa Chorangi. The attack also caused damage to three vehicles.
