Power protests across Punjab

Large scale demonstrations were held in different cities across Punjab over severe load shedding on Sunday.
Cities of Punjab have been witnessing severe load shedding during Ramazan. Angry resident staged protest in several cities against long hours of power outages.
In Pakpattan, people came on roads to register their protest against severe loadshedding. The demonstrators blocked the road at Chowk Jamal. Police baton charged the protesters and used tear gas to disperse them. Demonstrators hurled bricks on the in return which injured four police officials.
In Multan protesters blocked the roads and burned tyres chanting slogans against the government.
In Dharampura area of Lahore, residents adopted a novel way to register their protest. They staged a protest on the beat of a drum against electricity, gas and water outages.
The residents of Shahdara blocked the main road by burning tyres in protests.
In Sheikhupura, protesters blocked Lahore-Faisalabad Road while the angry demonstrators in Tandliyanwala broke the windscreens of a police van.
In Jehlum, protesters blocked GT Road in protest against Sehar and Iftar timings. The protesters also attacked grid-station.

  1. Damaging private and government property will not serve the purpose.
    The people have to march at the doorstep of RULING ELITE.
