KP governor for tolerance, harmony in society

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Barrister Masood Kausar has stressed the need of promoting the spirit of tolerance and accommodation in society to strengthen peace and development.
He was talking to a delegation comprising representatives of Committee on Inter-Religion Cohesion, a non-government organization in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa which
called on him under the leadership of Maulana Muhammad Shoaib.
Other members of the delegation included Intikhab Khan Chamkani Advocate, Muhammad Jamil Qamar Advocate and Saifullah Khan, Haroon Serb Diyal, Sardar Chanjit Singh of Sikh and Bishop Yousaf Pitras. The members of the delegation apprised the governor about their services and achievements.
The governor said that despite emphasis on peace, harmony and brotherhood in all societies,violence in the name of religion has been a tragic part of history.
He further said that rise in the level of the spirit of peace, harmony and
tolerance helps in promoting the possibilities for dispensation of justice and
accommodation in the respective societies. Highlighting the importance of education
and awareness, Kausar pointed out that it helps to understand each other.
Responding to various suggestions of the delegation he said that it is always his utmost endeavour to participate religious ceremonies of all segments of society and he would try his best to make this possible.
