PPP, PML-Q relations strengthening in all grounds: Qaim

Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah has claimed that the relations between PPP and PML-Q figure quite prominent and strengthening at all levels.

Syed Qaim Ali Shah held an important meeting with PML-Q President Senator Ch Shujat Hussain and Deputy Prime Minister and senior central leader Ch Parvez Elahi on Friday.

Ch Shujat Hussain and Ch Parvez Elahi said that PML-Q and PPP alliance was becoming stronger with the passage of time and in the next general election both the parties would play important political role in Sindh.

Talking to media afterwards, Ch Parvez Elahi said that, in the next election, N-League will face surprising defeat and results in Sindh.

The deputy prime minister said that he had discussed with the Sindh chief minister all matters including political and law and order situation in the province in detail. He said the Sindh chief minister told him in the context of situation in Karachi that measures were being taken for improvement. He said internal political situation of Sindh was also discussed.

He said further that for holding the local bodies’ election in Sindh, negotiations were in progress with MQM adding that firstly, general election should be held.

Continuing, the Sindh chief minister said that due to successful politics of President Asif Ali Zardari, Nawaz Sharif was even going to such persons including the nationalists who did not have their own entity and had always been talking against the Federation and the Constitution.

He said that Nawaz Sharif would not gain anything out of such futile efforts adding only those political leaders and workers were going into N-League against whom there were cases or they had been ousted from the party.

Syed Qaim Ali Shah said as for Mumtaz Bhutto was concerned, our Law Minister Ayyaz Soomro had defeated him three times.

He emphatically said that Pakistan Muslim League had an important role in Sindh province and in the next election, this role of Muslim League-Q would come to the fore prominently.

Ch Parvez Elahi said that alliance with the Peoples Party would be strengthened and carried further. He maintained that not a single worker of the party had deserted us in Sindh.

Sindh Law Minister Ayyaz Soomro, some federal ministers, belonging to the PML and PML-Q Sindh leaders Alim Adil Shaikh and Halim Adil Shaiklh were among those present on the occasion.
