HEC reviews accreditation inspection reports

The eighth council meeting of the National Business Education Accreditation Council (NBEAC) was held here at Higher Education Commission. NBEAC Chairman Prof Dr Hasan Sohaib Murad presided over the meeting and council members from other cities participated through video conferencing from Karachi, Lahore, Kotli (AJK) and Jamshoro accreditation inspection reports.
Speaking on the occasion, the chairman welcomed the council members and briefed them about the tremendous progress made by NBEAC in past few months. The chairman reported that NBEAC has achieved the target of visiting ten business schools for twenty programs as pilot project. He observed that time has come to announce the results and outcomes of the accreditation exercise to business schools waiting for the accreditation decision. He appreciated the AIC members for their commitment to make the visits successful and spared their precious time for the visits. Dr Hasan announced that the Deans and Director meeting will be organized in October, 2012. In response to the ICAP proposal Dr. Nasser Ali Khan advised ICAP representative to elaborate their agenda and forward to relevant departments of HEC. During the meeting Accreditation Inspection Reports (AIC) reports were reviewed by the council members, the council decided to award accreditation to ten Business Schools and 20 Programs.
