Light rain followed by a cool breeze on Thursday brought about a pleasant change in the weather, offering citizens respite from the heat spell. Lahore and its suburbs received light showers coupled with cold breeze, which brought down the temperatures significantly. Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) forecasted showers for most cities of Punjab in the next 24 hours. Several Punjab divisions including Rawalpindi, Lahore, Gujranwala, Sargodha and Faisalabad are expected to receive rain in the next 24 hours. The spell of rainfall is expected to continue till Friday night. However, humid weather will mainly persist in most of the cities in province.
