Senator Farhatullah Babar on Friday expressed concern over judges’ remarks about the parliament.
While addressing the Senate session on Friday, Senator Farhatullah Babar said that ruling of National Assembly Speaker has been overturned and the dignity of the parliament is continuously being hurt.
The senator said that Registrar of the Supreme Court was summoned by the Public Accounts Committee but he avoided to appear.
Babar said judiciary should also uphold the parliament in the same manner as the Parliament holds the judiciary.
Parliament has always respected the judiciary, he said.
The senator further said judiciary should also exercise restraint by keeping in view its jurisdiction.
