Girls outshine boys in Matriculation exams

The Rawalpindi Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (RBISE) here on Wednesday announced the result of Secondary School Certificate (Matriculation) annual examination 2012.
As many as 111,581 candidates appeared in the exams of whom 68,925 were declared successful with 62 pass percentage while girls outshone boys as three girls got overall first top three positions and seven boys could find place in the top 10 positions. The candidates can check their result on the board’s web site www.biserwp.edu.pk.
Wajiha Khan D/o Muhammad Fahim Khan got overall first position with 1022 marks. She belongs to Asif Public Girls Higher Secondary School Alnoor Colony, Rawalpindi.
Izza Azam daughter of Muhammad Azam got second position with 1016 marks. She also belongs to Asif Public Girls Higher Secondary School Alnoor Colony, Rawalpindi. Hafiza Hira Amjad daughter of Amjad Ali of Saint Paul’s Higher Secondary School for Girls, 43-E, Haidery Chowk, Satellite Town, Rawalpindi, got third position with 1014 marks.
Muhammad Owais son of Qamar Zaman of Radiant Secondary School for Boys, Iqbal Town, Rawalpindi, with 1011 marks got first position in Science Group (boys).
Muhammad Atif Khan son of Asif Javed of Cadet College Hassan Abdal, Attock got second with 1009 marks while Muhammad Nauman Zafar son of Zafar Iqbal of Cadet College Hassan Abdal, Attock, also stood second with 1009 marks.
