Arsalan accuses NAB chief, joint probe team of bias

Dr Arsalan Iftikhar, son of Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammed Chaudhry, Thursday submitted his written statement at the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
Arsalan, talking to media, accused the Chairman NAB Admiral (retd) Fasih Bukhari and the NAB’s joint probe team of bias against him.
According to a private TV channel, Arsalan noted in the statement submitted to the NAB headquarters that he wrote two letters to the bureau but did not receive response to any of them, adding it would be a violation of fundamental rights if he is denied a fair trial.
Earlier talking to media, Arsalan asserted it was wrong that he had received the notice, adding, “I received the notice only the day before yesterday. So, I came today to tender my rejoinder.”
He added he will file written statement and will come back for his detailed response.
“I will go to the Supreme Court (SC) for review petition hearing,” Arsalan said, reiterating his claim that the NAB chief and the joint investigation team of the NAB are prejudiced against him.
