Dr Arsalan Iftikhar, son of Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammed Chaudhry, Thursday submitted his written statement at the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
Arsalan, talking to media, accused the Chairman NAB Admiral (retd) Fasih Bukhari and the NAB’s joint probe team of bias against him.
According to a private TV channel, Arsalan noted in the statement submitted to the NAB headquarters that he wrote two letters to the bureau but did not receive response to any of them, adding it would be a violation of fundamental rights if he is denied a fair trial.
Earlier talking to media, Arsalan asserted it was wrong that he had received the notice, adding, “I received the notice only the day before yesterday. So, I came today to tender my rejoinder.”
He added he will file written statement and will come back for his detailed response.
“I will go to the Supreme Court (SC) for review petition hearing,” Arsalan said, reiterating his claim that the NAB chief and the joint investigation team of the NAB are prejudiced against him.

  1. CJ’s son still thinks he can order around NAB chairman and JIT members. Clearly he gets instructions from dad and uncles. Since CJ is almost almighty himself, Arsalan has no fear of ever getting convicted or even indicted. Having said that, he thinks NAB chairman must not waver from his given assignment. The SC registrar is the main witness. He’s the one who accompanied Arsalan while Malik Riaz and CJ talked in wee hours of the night. Dr. Faqir, with all due respect is just an employee of CJ. Arsalan is worried about him spilling the beans while uncles are worried about the truth ever coming out. They are justly concerned because if Dr. Faqir tells all, The Uncles will be scrambling for damage control and their survival. Damage is already done. Media told public about what had happened and people have figured out the missing pieces of the puzzle. CJ needs to have a popularity poll conducted. I think he trails way way behind Zardari. A son of Chief Justice has no respect for the law.
