The Young Doctors Association has decided to launch an awareness campaign among young doctors and patients about the service structure of doctors.
This was stated by YDA leader Dr Nasir Abbas while talking to APP here on Tuesday.
He said the step was taken to remove misconception among the general masses especially patients about hardships of doctors.
The YDA leader said that in the drive young doctors would be taken into confidence about YDA demands regarding the service structure and other matters. However, there will be no demonstration or strike in hospitals, he added. Commenting on the service structure, Dr Nasir Abbas said that despite the passage of twenty days of their calling off strike, nothing had been done in this regard. Earlier, the young doctors had gone on a strike after the negotiations between the government, the young and senior doctors had failed.
The deadlock had led to the police arresting over 50 doctors and Punjab government asking for help from the Army which had provided 150 doctors.
