Two more peacocks died of a mysterious disease on Tuesday raising the overall death toll to 51 in one week It should be mentioned that a mysterious disease has hit the peacocks in various areas of Tharparkar including village Jehn and Warrani. Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah taking notice of large scale deaths of precious peacocks has ordered solid steps to control the disease. Free medicines and clay pots have been distributed in the villages affected by the disease to minimise the disease. Provincial Coordinator Saeed Akhtar Baloch said that samples of the affected peacocks have been sent to Poultry Research Laboratory Korangi, Karachi, and after report further strategy would be chalked out accordingly.
