Three dacoits killed in ‘encounter’

Three armed robbers were killed in an alleged encounter in Quaidabad area of Karachi while one managed to escape, media reports said on Tuesday.
According to SSP Malir Rao Anwaar, four alleged dacoits were roaming on two motorcycles in the Ali Barohi Goth of Quaidabad when a police mobile tried to stop them.
The culprits, in return, opened fire on police and after an encounter, police killed three robbers while one got injured and managed to flee from the scene.
Police told the accused were involved in target killing of policemen and were wanted in several other cases.
Arms including a pistol, rifle, repeater and dozens of bullets were also recovered from their possession.
After receiving the information provided by detained target killer Munawar alias Bilo, the police and Rangers conducted raid in Alfalah and Shah Faisal Colony and nabbed six suspects and recovered arms from their possession.
Meanwhile, during Ranger’s action in Baldia Yousaf Goth, six members of gang war including Ijaj Commando, Aslam, Usman and Siraj were arrested. The detainees were involved in kidnapping for ransom, extortion, drugs business and other crimes.
The police recovered a snatched container of tea worth more than Rs 14 million and arrested four accused during a raid in Gudap area. An alleged target killer of Lyari gang identified as Furqan alias Darzada was arrested during targeted operation in Rizvia Society. The detainee in the preliminary interrogation revealed killing of eight people in Rizvia society, Pak Colony and Hussainabad areas of Karachi.
