Senator Aitazaz Ahsan on Wednesday disclosed that he, in the past, was in favour of writing the letter to Swiss authorities to reopen graft cases against President Asif Ali Zardari.
Talking to private news channel in New York, Barrister Aitazaz Ahsan said that matter pertaining to writing a letter to the Swiss authorities to reopen graft cases against President Asif ALI Zardari has become so complex for both government and the court.
He further said that he was also in favor of writing the letter but after looking into the complexity of the matter his thinking changed.
Aitazaz Ahsan predicted no signs for new general elections in the country in coming days and that the election would be held in the country after the third prime minister.
Criticizing the US policies towards Pakistan, Aitazaz Ahsan said that outstanding matters between Pakistan and the US would be solved peacefully.
“The United States is responsible for the deteriorating law and order situation in Pakistan as the White House called some people its friend, which it announced them foes and put head bounty on them in the past”, Aitazaz Ahsan said.
He said that the British Imperialism in the form of democracy contributed to police’s failure in maintaining law and order in the country.

According to this article, Ahsan in the past was for writing the letter to the Swiss Authorities but now he has a change of heart.

Is this man stupid? Really? He has gone from support democracy to equating it with Imperialism and denouncing it as a failure.
