The air-conditioning system at the leading hospital of the federal capital, Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), has gone out of order for the last four days causing severe problems to patient and attendants.
The hospital sources said that the air-conditioning system of PIMS has not been working as a result of which the patients of complex surgeries could not be provided the requisite temperature. Doctors said the required temperature was extremely necessary for some operated patients otherwise injures can further deteriorate.
On the other hand, the PIMS administration was of the opinion to that the AC machinery at the hospital has become obsolete and could not be revamped for lack of funds.
