Wildlife officials in the US state of Utah are hunting a man spotted in the mountains wearing a goat suit amid a herd of real wild goats. Phil Douglass, of the Utah division of Wildlife Resources, said the person is doing nothing illegal but he worries the so-called “goat man” is unaware of the dangers, as many hunters will take to the mountains during shooting season later this year. Sixty permits will be issued for goat-hunting season in September above Ogden, north of Salt Lake City, where the costumed rambler, nicknamed “goat-man” was spotted. Douglass also feared the man may be unaware of the dangers posed by other wild goats. He told Associated Press “They may get agitated. They’re territorial. They are, after all, wild animals,” he said. “This person puts on a goat suit, he changes the game. A man hiking along Ben Lomond peak in the Wasatch range reported seeing the goat man. Coty Creighton, 33 said he soon realised there was something “creepy” about one goat that was walking behind the rest of the herd. Douglass says the hiker took blurry photographs and it was clear they weren’t altered.
