BLA responsible for lawlessness, so says Malik

Advisor to the Prime Minister on Interior Rehman Malik on Monday said that Bloch Liberation Army (BLA) was involved in creating unrest and terrorist activities in Balochistan to destabilise the country. Addressing a gathering during his visit to coast guard office, he urged the Supreme Court to summon him in the court and he will provide all evidences against the BLA involvement.
He said he received proofs that a group of terrorists crossed the border from Afghanistan and took part in terrorist activities in Pakistan. He said Pakistan and Afghanistan had agreed to work jointly to stop cross border intrusion and hoped the Afghan government would honour its commitment and stop cross border attacks.
Rehman Malik said BLA was a biggest enemy of the country and it was working against Pakistan, adding that BLA killed its own persons who refused to do work against the country. He said elements within the BLA were desecrating the national flag and indulging in acts of treason by taking money from abroad. He said they had reached the roots of BLA and expressed the confidence that it would be eliminated soon. He said foreign hands were involved in creating turbulences in the Balochistan and BLA had been working against the Pakistan for the last 10 years, adding that BLA was buying persons by giving them dollars for using them in terrorism activities.
The advisor to PM said he had received information that militants would conduct attacks on law enforcement agencies, adding that at least 95 target killers had been arrested during the last six month in Karachi and out of them 35 belonged to Lyari area.
He said BLA had made the local people of Lyari hostage, adding two helicopters were being provided to the Karachi police to take action against the perchi mafia who were extorting money in the holy month of Ramadan. He said at least 69 FC personnel had been martyred during the last three months.
Rehman malik announced to give additional 0.5 million rupees to the families of seven officials who were killed in coast guard attack while their sons would be provided jobs in coast guard and their daughters would be employed in Nadra.
