Justice(r) Fakhruddin G Ebrahim will take oath as the new Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) today (Monday). Chief Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry will administer oath to the new CEC at a ceremony to be held at the Supreme Court. The oath-taking ceremony had earlier been scheduled for Friday, but was later postponed to Monday on Ebrahim’s request. Ebrahim has previously served as law minister, attorney general, a judge of the Supreme Court and governor of Sindh.
