President of Lahore High Court Bar Association Shehram Sarwar, on Sunday, demanded the federal government to appoint a Chairman Federal Services Tribunal immediately, as thousands of service matter cases are pending across the country.
He said that the post of chairman had been vacant for the last three months, since then the entire set up of FST had been non-functional and petitioners have been suffering as their petitions could be not taken up any where throughout the country due to the absence of a Chairman.
Other leading lawyers Justice(r) Hafiz Tariq Nasim, Qazi Mehmood, Mian Jaffer Hussain, Beenish Chaudhary and Aftab Alam Joyia also made impassioned appeals to the government for the appointment of chairman FST.
