LCI to promote reading habits

Lions Clubs International (LCI) Pakistan has announced that a “Reading Action Program” will be organized in more than 200 countries, including Pakistan in the year 2012-13. Addressing a reception hosted in his honor by Karachi Executives Lions Club on Sunday, the Head of LCI, Pakistan, Mirza Raza Ali said that through “Reading Action Program”, early reading habits would be developed among children and innovative projects including libraries would also be initiated. The event was attended by District Governor Samina Sikander, District Governor Ayesha Malik, Fasih ul Karim Siddiqui, Past District Governor Huma Bukhari, Bushra Raza, and Baquar Bukhari. Raza Ali said further that LCI in Pakistan was also focusing on free cataract surgeries, free education and other free health care activities for the needy.
