Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Ishtiaq Hussain Shah on Sunday said that the motorists must show patience and avoid rash driving, especially at Iftar time. Every one wants to reach destination on time to break fast but this race ultimately leads to fatal accidents, the CTO said while talking to APP. The CTO said that traffic police is providing Iftari at important places for the people, who cannot join their families due to rush on road. He directed the wardens that at Iftar time, none of them would leave the point of their deployment; otherwise strict action would be taken against them. He added that 800 wardens had been deployed on city roads to maintain smooth flow of traffic. A control room had also been set up at the Race Course Traffic Headquarters. Ishtiaq said that a free helpline 1915 had been established, where the citizens could get guidance and register their complaints any time.
