Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif claimed on Saturday that Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) would form the next government. Addressing a public gathering, Shahbaz said masses were well aware of the four and a half year performance of ‘Ali Baba and 40 thieves’ and they would be defeated in next elections. He said that cruel rulers unscrupulously exploited the people in the name of so-called democracy. Shahbaz said that agriculture sector which comprises major part of country’s economy was being destroyed by providing fertilizer to poor farmers on high rates as compared to genuine price. He claimed that after coming to power the PML-N would overcome the crisis of load shedding within six months, adding that unemployment and poverty would be exterminated out of the country. Referring to last year’s floods, he said that president did not bother about the people affected by the floods and had left them hapless on the mercy of fate. Separately, talking to members of Punjab Assembly Shahbaz said that all arrangements have been finalized for provision of relief to masses on food commodities. He appealed to the industrialists, traders and shopkeepers to extend full cooperation with the provincial government to keep the price of the food items at equilibrium. He urged the MPAs to visit Ramadan Bazaars to monitor the quality and prices and said the he (Shahbaz) would himself visit entire province for the purpose.
