Fair price shops and Ramadan bazaars have started operating in the city since the first day of Ramadan.
District administration, Islamabad has established four Ramadan bazaars and 35 fair price shops to ensure supply of quality edibles to the consumers at affordable prices.
One of the Ramadan bazaars has been stalled in sector G-7 near Khyber Plaza while the other three have been established in Pakistan town, Rawat and Bara Kahu.
Certain Ramadan bazaars also have outlets of Utility Stores.
The prices of products of Ramadan bazaars are lesser as compared to those of consumer items available in open market and weekly bazaars. =
The need of the hour is to realize quality of edibles sold at these bazaars in order to provide solid relief to the inflation-afflicted common people.
