All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) Sindh General Secretary Shahid Qureshi has said that incidents of kidnapping for ransom in have become a routine matter and the government has failed to provide security to business community which is affecting the business activities in economic hub of the country.
Shahid Qureshi stated this in APML central office here on Saturday while talking to delegations hailing from interior Sindh.
He said law and order situation was very poor and a common man was feeling insecurity and it had become almost impossible to carry out business activities in the province.
The APML leader said traders were continuously receiving threats of extortion and on refusal as they were being kidnapped for ransom, while the government was not safeguarding them and their families. Karachi is an economic hub of the country but there is no writ of the government, he further said.
Shahid Qureshi said during the Pervez Musharraf era, there was peace in entire Sindh. Foreign investment flourished and government protect the lives and properties of the traders and common man, which resulted in booming the economic conditions of the province, he further said.
APML leaders said Pervez Musharraf is the only leader who can establish the writ of the government and provide security to the masses. APML in the leadership of Pervez Musharraf would contest in general elections and constitute government the vote of masses.
Musharraf condoles with Pir Pagara : Chief of All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) Pervez Musharraf has expressed deep grief and sorrow over the death of sister of Pir Sahib Pagara.
According to an APML central information secretariat press release issued here on Friday, Pervez Musharraf called on Pir Sahib Pagara in London and expressed his condolence on the sad demise of his sister.
Pervez Musharraf prayed Almighty Allah to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant courage to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.
