Do more, Qaim tells Sindh Revenue Board

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah on Saturday presided over a meeting of Sindh Revenue Board (SBR) held at the CM House here. The meeting was attended by SBR Chairman Shaqeeb Qureshi, Secretary Finance Sindh, Naveed Kamran Baloch, Principal Secretary to CM, Muhammad Siddique Memon, Mumtaz Shaikh Member SRB, Mushtaq Kazmi, Member SRB, Imtiaz Barakzai Member SRB and others.
The chief minister appreciated the working and performance of Sindh Revenue Board and said that target of collection of Rs 25 billion taxes has been achieved during last financial year. He added that this year 28 per cent excess target has been given to Sindh Revenue Board for collection of taxes.
Syed Qaim Ali Shah added that present elected government has not introduced any new tax in the annual budget for the year 2012-13, while the government has pledged to provide relief to common man. He assured that Sindh Revenue Board will be fully encouraged in its working and necessary incentives will be given to those who fulfill the requirement and complete their targets.
Chairmen Sindh Revenue Board, Shaqeeb Qureshi, in his briefing thanked the Chief Minister for guidance and appreciating the performance of Board. He assured the Chief Minister that the policies and directives will be fully endorsed.
He presented various suggestions, proposals and demands, which were thoroughly discussed in the meeting. He also stressed that new posts be approved so as to enhance the working for prompt achievement of better results. It was informed that out of demanded 170 posts, 100 new posts have been approved while the other posts will be sanctioned in due course of time.
Matters pertaining to Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) were also discussed in detail, and ways and means were discussed as to how the organization is made beneficial. Various issues of Human Resources were also discussed in detail.
