The Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122) on Friday issued show cause notices to seven officers after a performance evaluation review upon completion of their probation period after regularisation.
The officers included deputy directors, emergency officers and public relations officers (PROs). A spokesperson for Rescue 1122 said the officers were spreading disinformation about the top management of the service to cover their unsatisfactory performance. The Director General, Punjab Emergency Service, said that unsatisfactory performance was not acceptable in a life saving emergency service and the top management of Rescue 1122 should not be deterred by disinformation being spread by the officers. The officers were provided with several opportunities and issued warnings to improve their performance.
