The authorities concerned in Rawalpindi have prepared PC-I for the planned construction of Sixth Road flyover estimating initial cost of the project at Rs1042 million with length of 248 metres.
The Punjab Highway Department has submitted the PC-1 to the Planning & Development chairman for approval.
Sources said that the Punjab government had postponed the project of Sixth Road flyover due to which funds had not been allocated for the project in the annual development programme.
The Punjab government officials said that project will be completed within 90 days after completing initial formalities.
Traffic experts said that Sixth Road flyover would ease traffic movement and reduce traffic jam on Benazir Bhutto Road as Chandni Chowk flyover was not enough to ensure smooth flow of traffic.
