President Asif Ali Zardari said t on Saturday that the government would make no compromise on deteriorating law and order situation in the country and especially in Karachi.
He said this when Senior Adviser to the Prime Minister on Interior Rehman Malik discussed law and order situation with him.
Sources said the meeting was held at Bilawal Hosue in Karachi where Rehman Malik met the president and briefed him about security measures arranged for law and order during Ramazan.
Malik also informed the president about legal actions taken against extortionists and miscreants involved in other crimes.
As per sources, the president directed that all law enforcing agencies should expedite its action against the anti-state elements to restore peace in the city. He instructed the officers to take action against the outlaws, extortionists and target killers to protect the lives and property of the people.
