It has been learnt that famous businessman Malik Riaz furnished some very important pieces of evidence during his personal appearance before JIT on 20th July.
Real Estate Tycoon Malik Riaz had earlier on two occasions, skipped NAB proceedings reportedly due to his court cases. NAB had, however, given him a warning that failure on his part to appear before JIT would result in ex party action.
During Friday’s proceedings, Malik Riaz gave a detailed statement and informed the team that he was blackmailed by Arsalan Iftikhar Chaudhary and he even continued to receive threats from him.
He said that apart from Arsalan Iftikhar, wife of chief justice of Pakistan, along with daughters were also the beneficiaries on account of Arsalan Iftikhar’s dealings. Malik Riaz alleged that foreign trips of the spouse of the CJP and her stay in foreign countries were sponsored by Bahria Town or his family members. Malik Riaz reportedly submitted documentary evidence before JIT to prove his allegations regarding CJP’s family.
Malik Riaz Hussain also alleged that when the unjustified and illegal demands of Arslan Iftikhar Chaudhary became excessive, he was left with no other option but to formally communicate
Arsalan’s deeds to CJP Malik Riaz elaborated on the personalities who had informed CJP more that six monts ago about the corrupt behavior of Arsalan Iftikhar Chaudhary. Malik Riaz claimed that when all attempts to sensitize the CJP about the gravity of his son’s behavior failed, he made the information public.
