GCU win HEC First Women’s Rifle Shooting Contest

The Government College University Lahore has made a triumphant return in the All Pakistan First Women’s Rifle Shooting Championship organized by the Higher Education Commission.
The team GCU comprising Madhia Ashraf, Sadaf Mehboob and Noor Saleem outshined all the universities of Pakistan in the Championship by winning 13 of 20 gold medals, 4 silver and 4 bronze medals in various shooting events including clay pigeon, skeet, down the line, free pistol and trap.
GCU student Sadaf Mehboob was adjudicated the Best Shooter, while Punjab University and COMSATS secured second and third positions in the Championship. GCU Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Khaleeq-ur-Rahman met with winning team and appreciated their outstanding performance in the championship. He encouraged the participation of female students in the sports, saying it is equally important for both boys and girls to participate in healthy activities. GCU Director Sports Khadim Ali Khan also congratulated the university’s rifle shooting team.

  1. If, you want to hit the target at the first shot, then you cannot ignore the significance of using the best rifle scopes used by the professional shooters in the current times. It will help achieving success without making hard efforts.
