There is a need for framing the latest education policy and best-possible opportunities for teachers training on priority basis. Federal Public Service Commission Chairman Justice (r) Rana Baghwandas said this during a seminar held at the Karachi University campus on Thursday.
The moot titled “Central Superior Services (CSS): Opportunities and Future Prospects” was organised by the University of Karachi in collaboration with the department of youth affairs, government of Sindh, and Federal Public Service Commission to create awareness and to motivate youth for enhanced participation in the CSS examination under the Federal Public Service Commission. Rana Baghwandas was of the view that bureaucracy was the backbone for the administration of a government. He said that these bureaucrats are selected through the competitive examination. It was pointed out that in the past several years less number of youngsters from Sindh especially Karachi participated in these examinations. By appearing in these examinations, the youngsters can select an excellent career for themselves.
Rana Baghwandas said those countries which promote and foster education, make headway in the comity of nations. Sindh Secretary Youth Affairs, Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui, said that youngsters should participate in the competitive examination to choose a better career for themselves. Prof Dr Iqbal Choudhry, Prof Dr Shahana Urooj Kazmi of the University of Karachi, and Director Youth Affairs Sindh, Khurshid Ali Shaikh, were also present on the occasion.
