Six injured in blast targeting security vehicle

At least six people were injured and two vehicles were destroyed in a blast on the Peshawar Motorway Interchange on Thursday. The target of the IED blast was a security forces’ vehicle. However, the security forces’ vehicle had passed when the bomb went off, damaging two civilian cars and injuring some of the passengers. A number of passersby were also injured. Per details, unidentified saboteurs planted the explosives in a pressure-cooker and placed it on a cart parked on the roadside. So far police have confirmed injuries to six people.
Soon after the explosion, police and volunteers from various organisations started rescue activities. A police official said the target of the terrorist attack was the security forces’ vehicle.
