The Ramazan moon was sighted in Dera Ghazi Khan and some other cities of the country on Friday evening and first of Ramazan would be on Saturday now.
The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee met in Karachi under the chair of its Chairman Mufti Muneebur Rehman that was attended by its members, belonging to various sects. Zonal Ruet Hilal Committees also met in their respective areas for moon sighting.
Earlier, the Pakistan Meteorological Department had said that Ramazan moon was likely to be sighted in coastal areas of Sindh and Balochistan.
