Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah on Wednesday welcomed the reopening of references against Sharif brothers, terming the allegations leveled by opposition baseless.
Talking to the media outside Punjab Assembly, he said there was no basis of the allegations made against Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, adding that reality will be revealed on floor of the House in a few days. He said the people must know the truth about these references.
Responding to a question about President Asif Zardari, Sanaullah said Zardari was imprisoned for 11 years in corruption and narcotics cases. He said corruption in today’s age has increased many times as compared to the past.
Expressing views about Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Imran Khan, the provincial law minister said if he wants to go to Waziristan, he should also recover those abducted for ransom.
Sanaullah challenged Imran Khan that if he fought elections from a constituency in Lahore, even a minor political worker of Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz could easily defeat him.
Responding to a question about Multan by-polls in NA-151, Rana Sanaullah said no candidate of PML-N is participating in the by-elections.
