ANF stops heroin from going to Italy

The Anti-Narcotics Force foiled a bid to smuggle heroin to Italy and arrested the accused on Wednesday.
According to details, during screening of a passenger who was leaving for Melan, Italy, through a private airline, 60 heroin-filled capsules were found in his stomach. The police arrested the accused identified as Tahir Iqbal and recovered the capsules. The recovered drug values millions of rupees in the international market.
The trend to smuggle heroin to foreign countries is on the rise from Benazir International Airport and more than 10 such incidents have been reported during the last one month.
