Backstreet’s back—and how!
As if fans weren’t excited enough when Kevin Richardson rejoined the Backstreet Boys, now there’s something even bigger to look forward to. A new Backstreet Boys album! The reunited quintet announced today on Good Morning America that they are working on what will be their first studio album with Richardson since 2005. In case the timeline hasn’t quite hit you, the as-yet untitled album’s spring 2013 release will coincide with BSB’s 20th anniversary next April. Nothing to feel old about there! Nick Carter, Brian Littrell, Howie Dorough, A.J. McLean and Richardson are currently in London recording with producer Martin Terefe (of Mary J. Blige, Train and Jason Mraz fame). The band of pop brothers will enjoy their first official performance back together on Aug. 31 in NYC’s Central Park as part of GMA’s “Summer Concert Series.”
