Refrain from predicting about Pakistan: Malik

Senior interior advisor Rehman Malik has advised all foreign countries including America to “kindly refrain from making ‘advance predictions about Pakistan’, and cease their interference in country’s internal affairs”.
While talking to the journalists, he praised Munter’s diplomatic tenure, but requested that “kindly leave Pakistani politics to Pakistan”.
He praised Munter’s departing disclosure about his ‘good relations with Mian Nawaz Sharif and Imran Khan’, advising that this should be an eye-opener for masses.
He also clarified that after the approval of 20th amendment, law and order had become a sole provincial issue.
He said that President Zardari had advised an increase in police force, after which more vacancies in police force would be created; as had already been advised to CM, Sindh.
He also expressed a strong resolve of government/ political parties to enforce/ensure law and order in Karachi, for which the new IG was taking all necessary steps.
“MQM has also been cautioned that any violation (even) on its part would also be taken notice of”, he stated, adding that during this Ramazan, law and order would be maintained, with full actions against extortion mafia.
He refused to deliberate on Arsalan Iftikhar Case, since the issue implicated him (Rehman Malik) as well, while he said that attorney general’s Joint investigation team (JIT) was investigating the case, and he (Malik Rehman ) would support any reservations of Arsalan Iftikhar.
Commenting over the issue of sectarian websites, the interior advisor said that patience, and forbearance should be prioritized, and said that FIA had been ordered to take action against such websites.
