President North Zone Cricket Association Mian Mubeen Ahmed said his zone has full support for the policies and steps being taken by President Lahore Region Cricket Association, Khawaja Nadeem Ahmed for the betterment of the game in the city. “The entire North Zone stands with LRCA Chief and fully endorsed his policies, decisions and steps for the revival of cricket and at the same time condemned the recent negative outburst of Secretary LRCA Mian Javed Ali which is damaging for Lahore’s cricket,” he said here on Tuesday. North Zone President was of the view that Lahore’s cricket suffered a lot during past two decades and in the previous two years sincere efforts were made to streamline it by taking drastic measures. “The credit goes to LRCA Chief who is a diehard promoter of the game and has assembled all the three zones of LRCA at one platform for the achieving a collective cause of revival and uplift of cricket,” he said. Mubeen strongly criticized the negative propaganda campaign of Javed Ali and termed it harmful for Lahore’s cricket. He demanded the President, LRCA to take disciplinary action against Secretary LRCA by referring his case to disciplinary committee.
“I think he is following a hidden agenda to sabotage the smooth functioning of LRCA and to disrupt the ongoing efforts of promoting cricket in the three Zones.”
He said it is the time to reunite against Secretary LRCA to make him realize that his all efforts to harm the unity in LRCA will bring no productive results as all the zones have full faith and trust in the leadership of Khawaja Nadeem Ahmed.
“If a no confidence resolution is moved against Secretary LCA, our Zone will fully support it in the larger interest of Lahore’s cricket,” he added.
