The girl who was allegedly killed in 2011 after being declared a ‘kari’ appeared in the Sindh High Court (SHC) Sukkur bench on Tuesday. The police had arrested her father and brother on the charges of killing the girl after registering an FIR in Saleh Pat police station, Sukkur. The two had undergone five months imprisonment before being released on bail. The girl told the court that she was not killed but kidnapped by people belonging to Maher community and was in Karachi since then.
She prayed before the court to summon IGP Sindh, DIG Sukkur and SSP Sukkur over their ignorance, and also to dismiss the case against her father and brother.
