Ex-weightlifters accuse PWF of malpractices

Prominent weightlifters of the country have shown no confidence against the Pakistan Weightlifting Federation and have asked the Pakistan Sports Board and the Pakistan Olympics Association to put an ad hoc on the federation.
Former South Asian gold medalist Ch Mohammad Amin after chairing the meeting of former players said that the performance of the federation for the last eight years is a question mark. The main reason of the poor performance of the federation is the occupation of incompetent people of the federation.
Also present on the occasion were Mohammad Idrees Butt, Prof Khyzer Hayat, Mohammad Azhar, Azam Mian, Col Asif Dar, Prof Mohammad Azhar, Aqeel Butt while officials of referees, coaches associations and officials of clubs were also present on the occasion.
He alleged that Mohammad Irfan Butt, 18 years old son of the PWF secretary has done tours of 11 countries illegally. β€œHe was preferred over renowned referees and players for tours,” he maintained.
They also alleged that the federation is also involved in human trafficking.
